SHOOTING RANGE NEWS
RANGE GATE COMBINATION WILL BE RESET ON 10/1, YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE RANGE UNLESS YOUR DUES FOR THE 2019-2020 YEAR ARE PAID.
At this time the only scheduled law enforcement usage of the range is Nov. 5, 6, 7 by Customs. Border Patrol never schedules a time, but they show up for usually short sessions.
LOWER RANGE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE. REMEMBER NO SHOOTING IN THE AIR, ALL SHOTS GO INTO THE BERM.
TARGET HOLDERS WERE INSTALLED AT 25 YARDS AND 100 YARDS ON SATURDAY 6/22/19. PLEASE ATTACH TARGETS TO THE WIRES WITH THE CLOTHES PINS, TARGETS ARE TO NEVER BE INSTALLED ON THE POSTS! SHOULD AN ERRANT SHOT CUT THE WIRE PLEASE FIX IT WITH THE WIRE BY THE BULLETIN BOARD AT THE SHOOTING BENCHES, THERE ARE ALSO CLOTHES PINS AND PLIERS LOCATED THERE. THIS SHOULD MAKE IT EASIER FOR THOSE COMING UP TO SHOOT. IF WE DO NOT HAVE TROUBLE WITH VANDALISM ON THE HOLDERS MORE WILL BE INSTALLED AT A LATER DATE.
Range is for members only, no guests due to insurance regulations.
Please close and lock gate behind you when entering and leaving.
Sign in and out in book located inside gate.
Bring your own targets
All shots should be fired into the berm, no shooting at targets on the ground or shooting in the air. There are trails located behind the range, and there is a commercial gravel pit behind the range as well.
Pick up your brass and targets, keep the range clean.
Since 2015 the range has been open year around. Trail usage is heavier in the winter months with cross country skiers, and snowshoers, be aware and be sure that your shots will go into the berm, absolutely no shooting in the air with any firearm is allowed. When there is snow the range road will not be plowed, since there is no parking area outside the gate you will have to park in the parking lot at the clubhouse and walk down to the range.
